Bristol: Day 3 - Tea & Live Music

Our last day in Bristol was the best, the sun was finally out, which meant that I could put the big coat away and get my sandals on. On our last day we decided to go for a bit of shopping and to Bristol Museum & Art Gallery. 

We took a lovely stroll through this pretty little park. The area really made me feel like I was walking through the 50's or 60's era, with the houses that squared off the park and there were so many classic cars around.

We stopped off at a little tea shop called "The Tea Birds". I love anything vintage, so I was so excited to go inside for a cup of tea and cake. It was very cute inside and played 20's music, which added to the theme. The tea was delicious, I cannot remember what tea I had but it was a herbal fruit fusion. I also had a Rocky Road, which was so good.

In the evening, Elliot found this beautiful boat restaurant whilst searching for places to eat online. But the place is so popular, you need to book way in advance, so unfortunately we couldn't eat in. But we decided to get a drink at the bar and just enjoy the amazing view.

After, we went to listen to some live music at a place called "The Lanes". Its a bar with a 50's American style theme to it, with bowling and karaoke. It was really casual and laidback, which I really enjoyed. It was great to just chill out and listen to some live music. 

Bristol: Day 2 - Decks & Dots

Saturday I woke up so early, even though I promised myself a lie in. I was just too excited to get out of the hotel and do some crazy sightseeing around Bristol. Although it was chilly (hence the big coat), I wore this outfit. I was surprised I was able to put something like this together as I packed in a rush and forgot pretty much the essentials! You may have gathered from previous posts that I am a lover of high waist pants and I love these shorts, which I've had for yonks. But I love it more with this blue polka dot shirt, I got this recently from New Look and thought it was adorable. I like the wide short sleeves.

This beautiful cathedral was opposite our hotel, so we decided to pop inside for a look around. It was very impressive, with the amazing high ceilings and grand interior.

If you ever visit Bristol, I'll say to do the Brunel's ss Great Britain attraction. It's amazing how they've done it. You are able to go under water and see the ship from all angles. You can go inside the ship, see how it all works, read up on the history and even climb the ropes! It was an amazing experience.

We saw some cool stencil art work... not sure if these are Banksy's work though. I wanted to go on the Banksy walking tour to find all of his work, but unfortunately we did not have time. But we would definitely do it next time.

Bristol: Day 1 - The Pump House

Hello My Lovelies, 

Oh I have been a busy bee... looking for flats, going to a few events and preparing for the new job. But I managed to get away this weekend for some R and R. I took a trip to Bristol for a nice weekend away with Elliot. It was such a lovely trip, Bristol is a amazing and beautiful place and I would definitely go again. 

For the first night, we went to a lovely pub/restaurant. I wore this outfit which I thought was nice and simple. I love the top with the pretty netted details at the bottom and goes very well with the high-waist disco pants.

We went to The Pump House which was a nice, chilled out restaurant and pub. The atmosphere was brilliant, especially with the unique and cozy decor. The wine menu, which was made out of corks, was pretty cool. There was lots of interesting posters on the wall down in the pub and there was always something unusual you can spot.

The restaurant served European food, it was pretty good. The portions were small, so wasn't very filling, which is why we went for this very nicely presented dessert. The quality was amazing and the service was friendly.

After we ate, we went down into the pub area and just chilled out on the couch, which gave the place a real "feel at home" atmosphere.
